Berwick Springs Park
A favorite park with all the natives, dog walkers and families since there is lots of room to run or walk, playgrounds for the children & a brand new Fitness & Play Zone. There is plenty of birdlife and a few stunning views throughout the lake into the hills outside. At the middle of the park, away from the trails, there’s a large grassed area with a few smaller ponds, perfect if you would like some peace and quiet although it becomes really wet after rain.
In the beginning point wander left, after the trail around to the right and above the bridge then take another path on the left that leads to a different bridge. On the opposite side, keep after the trails to the right, parallel to the coast of the lake till you arrive at the jetty where there is always loads of waterbirds awaiting free food.
Walk below the arbour and from the footpath, turn down then cross over the street until the bridge, following the trail before you can turn down a small route near Edwin St. This brief route can flooding following heavy rain. Stay on the road running parallel to the principal street (Greaves Rd) before you reach the increased rotunda.
The tracks are horizontal, fine and wide, little gravel or paved but there’s very little colour.
