TM Supplies Pty Ltd was founded in 1969 by Mr. Tankred Mueller. Starting with humble beginnings in Melbourne’s Western Suburbs, Tankred operated from the back of a van and a small storeroom in Sunshine. As sales and product offerings grew, he needed larger premises to store the expanding inventory of welding and affiliated products. In 1995, TM Supplies Pty Ltd was rebranded to Migwell Australia and moved to Princess Highway, Dandenong, where the business continued to flourish. In 1999, Tankred approached Nigel, whom he considered a formidable competitor, with the opportunity to join the company and eventually purchase Migwell.
In May 2000, Nigel became the new owner of Migwell Australia. He embraced this opportunity with enthusiasm and determination, transforming Migwell into a specialist supplier of welding equipment, safety supplies, and abrasives. Under Nigel’s leadership, the Migwell brand and reputation grew significantly, becoming widely recognized as an expert in the welding field.
Nigel manages Migwell with a “can do” approach, ensuring that all customers’ needs are met and no stone is left unturned in finding solutions to any issues. Over his 20 years at the helm, Nigel has expanded the Migwell team to include a highly experienced internal and external sales team and four in-house fully qualified and experienced service technicians. These technicians are capable of providing on-site and in-house repairs for all makes and models of welding and related equipment. Additionally, Migwell offers a welding machine hire facility and has a long-established relationship with Coregas, serving as their largest Victorian agent for distributing all types of industrial gases.
