Seaford RSL
The Seaford RSL was granted its charter on 16th November, 1950, the Seaford RSL began from humble beginnings in the garage of Wally Mott the Founding President of the Seaford RSL. The Club later relocated in Seaford Drill Hall. Seaford Drill Hall in Station Street which mysteriously burned into the ground around New Years Eve in 1977. The Club continued to operate at the Sports Room that had not suffered any damage during the fire.
Without a function space, members and their ladies had to begin from scratch and collect money for new premises, that they could achieve through the running of events of every kind, including BBQ’s and raffles. From 1978 to 1981 under the direction of the new president Sam Ryan an experienced RSL and Finance man Plans were created and approved by different government agencies and our new facility grew like a an eagle from the rubble of the well popular and well-used hall that was once used. Our newly constructed RSL was officially opened on August 8 , 1981. It was a great success until the year 1991, when it was moved to the stunning structure we are now in.
The present Seaford RSL operates as a non-profit community organisation that encourages participation in the annual memorial services held by the 15 schools in our area, sports bodies and community organizations, as well as helping Service personnel with their daily life advice and assisting those who are in need. Club buses can be utilized by the public at large to host a variety of events. The club’s facilities include the Sports Bar that has TAB facilities as well as a stunning eatery that’s filled with people enjoying high-end eating and the finest beverages and wines.
Seaford RSL is a non-profit community organisation that encourages participation in the annual memorial services of the 19 schools in our area, sports organizations and community groups while helping Service personnel with their everyday living tips and assisting those with a need.
Seaford RSL are proud to assist local community groups. We have donated defibrillators and training to an “just in case” senario to three (3) of our local sporting clubs.

We’d like to think that the emergency medical equipment will not required, however, at the very least, it is there in the event of need. Seaford RSL also sponsor the Seaford RSL also provide sponsorship to Seaford Football & Netball Club
SCHOOLS PROGRAM BREAKFAST PROGRAM
Seaford RSL is a partner in the SCHOOLS PROGRAM BREAKFAST program in five local schools to ensure our youngest generation are well-prepared for the day.
SCHOOLS COMMEMORATION SERVICES
The Seaford RSL organizes and conducts special commemoration events for local school children. The services are provided by all local schools, for both Anzac DAY and REMEmbrance DAY every year. The bugler and the band school choir, the flag-raising, and junior speakers include all pupils. Schools are invited to design and make their own wreaths and then designate the wreath’s layers.
Education for the future generations on the sacrifices and struggles endured by Australians or New Zealanders, who served their countries in times of war and as Peacekeepers as an essential component of the overall educational process.
SCHOOLS CITIZENSHIP AWARDS
Nineteen (19) SCHOOLS now partake in our Citizen Awards Programme where a student from every school who has given exceptional service to their local community is chosen for this award. Seaford RSL organises a special “Awards Night” at the Club where winners are awarded the award in the form of a certificate along with the $50.00 gift card in the presence of fellow students as well as teachers and parents.
