Historical Background

Supagas began its journey in 1968 under the name Australian Forklifts, serving Melbourne from the southeast suburb of Moorabbin. In 1985, they rebranded to Supagas under Supagas Holdings Pty Ltd to better reflect their expanding range of services.

As customer demand for a wider range of products grew, they decided to build an industrial gas plant in Dandenong. This facility included helium and CO2 filling capabilities, as well as a cylinder testing and refurbishment plant to cater to all types of vessels and cylinders. Their business continued to expand across Victoria, South Australia, Western Australia, and the Northern Territory.

In 1997, Supagas NSW and Supagas QLD were established under Renegade Gas Pty Ltd as separate entities. Initially, these branches focused on selling and refilling forklift gas from their original site in Wetherill Park. However, significant growth soon followed, and they expanded to offer all types of gases across NSW, ACT, and QLD, establishing branches in most parts of these regions.

National Integration

The significant milestone in their growth journey came when Taiyo Nippon Sanso Corporation (TNSC), the fourth-largest gas supplier in the world, acquired Renegade Gas Pty Ltd and Supagas Holdings Pty Ltd. This acquisition integrated Supagas into a national company capable of servicing all of Australia. The backing of TNSC has bolstered their capabilities, allowing them to offer an even broader range of products and services while maintaining their commitment to customer satisfaction.

Supagas continues to thrive and expand, driven by their dedication to exceptional service and quality products.
